After an unfulfilling semester as an engineering student, Tyler discovered a love for Outdoor Education when he transferred to Green Mountain College. Although he stayed immersed in that program through graduation, he always had outlets for his technical side, whether it was evenings at the campus bike co-op or taking shop electives. With dreams of creating his own tiny house some day, he was ecstatic to join a team of wonderful friends to make one. Since graduating, he and his partner, Bella, have been living in the Burlington area as they prepare for a cross country bike tour.

with Gwen Hobson, Tyler Pastorok, + Michael Beattie
Story Stage, 3:30pm

A story of taking on a tiny house build as the last group project in the REED program (Renewable Energy and Ecological Design) of Green Mountain College, as the college is dying. We'll discuss design, construction, decision-making, simplifying and group work, and maybe a little about creating a positive vision in troubled times.
